Our WALL-E joined Victor Franco's R2-D2 at Children's Hospital Orange County (CHOC) to spread joy to the hospitalized children (and of course the staff!).
Fun story: We ran into a staff member who said her dad played the drums for the Star Wars movies. We were kind of skeptical, then she said her uncle actually composed the music. We were a little puzzled, then noticed her last name was Williams. Sure enough, she was John Williams' niece!
Mike Senna, well known from the remote-control R2-D2 replica he built in 2003, finished building a working WALL-E replica from the Pixar film in 2012. Completely scratch built, as there are no hobbiest parts available. He began building WALL-E’s girlfriend Eve in 2014.

Riverside Robotics article in Press Enterprise
Mike's appearance with his WALL-E at the Riverside Robotics Expo at the Woodcrest Library was featured in the Press Enterprise. There's an error in the article: R2-D2 is the one who recently appeared in TV commercials for Verizon Wireless and Toyota Prius, not WALL-E.

WALL-E at Walt's Barn, Griffith Park
Our WALL-E appeared at Walt Disney's Barn at Live Steamers in Griffith Park in Los Angeles. We met Disney Imagineer legend Bob Gurr, as well as two little girls who are among WALL-E's biggest fans. Both the Senna and McMaster WALL-Es entertained guests to the railroad museum, where rides are also given on miniature trains.

3D Film Festival, LA
Our Wall-E and R2-D2 entertained the visitors to the 3D Film Festival at the Regal Theater at LA Live. Mike let some kids learn to drive Wall-E, and both characters were a huge hit with the crowds!

Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp
My Wall-E was invited to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp at the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center. We felt honored to be a part of this VERY special camp. The kids were excited to meet him! The kids (and adults) were all smiley and giddy. I forgot to bring his cockroach friend, Hal. :(
Wall-E still needs a little work to be complete. His neck is done, but he still needs some detail work under the body and his hands need to be secured properly.
