Mike Senna, well known from the remote-control R2-D2 replica he built in 2003, finished building a working WALL-E replica from the Pixar film in 2012. Completely scratch built, as there are no hobbiest parts available. He began building WALL-E’s girlfriend Eve in 2014.
About 200 people showed up at the Anaheim Central Library to hear Mike talk about how he built his WALL•E and BB-8 replicas. The presentation was followed by Q&A from the audience, and then there was a long line for photos with the robots.
